2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cocoa and salt. Set aside.
Beat together eggs and sugar smooth. Add oil and milk and mix on low.
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until well combined.
Scoop batter into each cupcake liners. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes
Cool completely on a wire rack before decorating.
Prepare your favorite frosting in two different colors, shades of orange and red.
Place a thick line of frosting onto a piece of plastic wrap, roll and secure ends. Do this with both colors
Place two tubes of frosting into a prepared piping bag. I used Kootek piping tip K37.
Pipe swirls onto the top of your cupcake to create the coals/fire.
Put some chocolate into a piping bag and place in the microwave. Heat for 30 seconds at a time until melted.
Cut off the tip of the piping bag and pipe circles with lines onto a piece of parchment paper to create the grill tops.
Cut up gummy worms and skewer them onto toothpicks to create the kabobs.
The hotdogs were made using large sprinkles, you could also pipe frosting on to get the same look.
