Kootek Easter Bunny Sheet Cake

Directions

Place one of the two cake layers in the center of your cake board or plate.

Cut two ear shapes out of the other cake layer using the bottom of your Kootek springform pan as a guide.

1. Place the pan bottom on 1/3 of the cake and cut the ear out using the edge of the pan to get a perfect curve. Then place the pan bottom on the opposing side of the same cake layer, doing your best to cut out two even ears. The section of cake left will be a bow tie and fit perfectly nestled into the first layer of cake.

Place the ears at one end and the cake bow tie at another end, of the first cake layer on the plate, securing with buttercream as needed.

Cover the bunny in buttercream.

Using a toothpick, sketch out the bunnies face then trace your sketch with icing.

1. Piping Tip used: Kootek K01.

Color your buttercream as desired and fill piping bags fitted with Kootek Russian Piping tips of your choice, with the buttercream. Repeat with each color. Also prepare a piping bag fitted with a Kootek K20 and any other Kootek piping tips you would like to use for the leaves in-between the flowers, additional flowers, or design elements.

1. Pro Tip: use a stiff, room temperature buttercream for the best definition and user experience with Russian Piping tips.

2. Kootek Russian Piping tips I used; S2, S3, S5, S8, S9, S10, S20.

Now decorate your bunny’s bowtie with your Russian Piping tips by giving the piping bag a firm squeeze then simultaneously releasing all pressure and gently pulling up. Experiment with the pressure and placement until you are happy!

1. Remember! Don't worry about perfection, focus on having fun and being creative when creating!

Repeat for a flower crown if desired.

Fill in any gaps between flowers with the additional piping.

1. A burst of pressure and fluid motion up will create a beautiful leaf shape to accent our flowers with the Kootek K20!

Using a K49 piping tip, pipe grass around your bunny and finish off by adding candies and sprinkles to the grass and bunny.
