Supplies Needed:
Add different vegetables to your cake to make it unique. Don't worry about perfection, focus on having fun and being creative when decorating. Enjoy your cake with loved ones.
Cupcakes
Frosting
Food Coloring
Marshmallows
Place your cupcakes in the center of your cake board or plate in three rows of four cupcakes each or the configuration you would like your garden bed to be in.
Fill any gaps between cupcakes with mini marshmallows to prevent any frosting sinking into the gaps. This extra step will ensure we have a smooth canvas plus a little extra treat, yay!
Next, pipe your frosting on and in between the cupcakes. I like to use Kootek piping tip K41 for this because it provides wide and even coverage. Once the frosting is on, use a Kootek offset spatula to smooth the frosting into one even layer. Allow to chill in the fridge.
While the cupcakes are chilling, mix up different colors of frosting for the different fruit and vegetables you want to create in your garden. Once colored, load your frosting into piping bags fitted with couplers for easy piping tip switching.
Use a Kootek cake scraper to create a grid pattern on the top of your cupcake cake.
In each box create a different fruit or vegetable for your garden.

Once you are happy with your garden vegetation use Kootek piping tip K36 to pipe a shell border in between each box over the lines we made earlier with the cake scraper.
Add any finishing touches such as grass around the perimeter with Kootek piping tip K49.
Pro Tip: use a stiff, room temperature buttercream for the best definition and user experience when piping.
Remember! Don't worry about perfection, focus on having fun and being creative when decorating!
